Coronation ( A New King )
A poem about the coronation of a new king of England
Step forth now most noble king,
Answer prayers for one to believe in,
The rightful man to be leading,
We need a new king,
A new king,
Keeping the flame burning within,
Embodiment of the kingdom,
Slayer of beasts who prey on the weak,
A voice through which the gods speak,
Unite the lost crowns of England,
Permit no foe to force one's hand,
Bring life to the will of the land,
We need a new king,
A new king,
A man with bright wings,
With whom the angels sing,
We need a new king,
A new king,
Master o'er all things,
Whose words with truth rings,
We need a new king,
A new king,
One righteous man can make amends,
He who is ordained to ascend,
The labour theft will meet its end,
We need a new king,
A new king,
Take the dagger from our cup,
Drive it deeply into British rock,
Our burden to be taken up,
Flame and hone the will of the flock,
No more usury fed on thee,
From the caught ankle we break free,
Forcing all the snake-kin to flee,
We need a new king,
A new king.
